Verify once. Transact freely.
Every account on instiXFX is verified before the first conversion. Verification protects you and the platform, and it's the legal foundation that lets us hold customer funds and settle SEPA/SWIFT withdrawals in your name.
What happens, step-by-step
- 1 · Personal details
Legal name, date of birth, country of residence, residential address. Must match the document you'll upload — no nicknames or PO boxes.
- 2 · Government ID
Upload a valid passport, national ID card or driver's licence. Photograph the original in good light — no scans, no photocopies, no expired documents.
- 3 · Selfie liveness
A three-second selfie video captured in-app. Confirms the person holding the ID is the person on it and blocks static-photo attacks.
- 4 · Screening
Automated sanctions, PEP (politically exposed person) and adverse-media screening against global watchlists — refreshed daily.
- 5 · Decision
Most accounts pass automatically in under a minute. Edge cases route to a compliance analyst; you'll get a decision within one business day.
Documents we accept
- Passport (photo page, clearly readable)
- National identity card (both sides)
- Driver's licence (both sides, in-date)
- For proof of address if requested: bank statement, utility bill or council/tax letter dated within the last 3 months
- Expired documents
- Photocopies, scans, or screenshots of a screen
- Documents with any field cropped, blurred or obscured
- Provisional licences or student IDs
- Utility bills over 90 days old, mobile-phone bills or handwritten letters
How to pass on the first attempt
Photograph the physical card or passport, not a scan or another screen. Reflective plastic is fine — flat glare on the MRZ or photo is not.
Diffuse daylight works best. Turn the flash off; specular highlights blow out the security features our checks read.
Frame the whole document — every corner inside the guide. Cropped edges are the single most common auto-reject reason.
Name, date of birth and country entered in the form must match the document exactly. Middle names optional but must not contradict.
Look straight at the camera, no hat, no sunglasses. Beauty filters and heavy edits will fail liveness.
Only the account holder in the selfie video. No mirrors, no other faces in the background.
Ongoing monitoring
Verification isn't a one-off. Every top-up, conversion and withdrawal runs through real-time transaction monitoring, and your identity is re-screened daily against updated sanctions and PEP lists. If your risk profile changes, or a document expires, we'll ask for a fresh check before the next conversion.
You may also be asked for enhanced due diligence (EDD) — source of funds, source of wealth, or a short call with a compliance analyst — for larger transaction sizes or higher-risk corridors. This is normal, and completing it quickly keeps your account fully live.
Data & privacy
Documents and biometrics are transmitted over TLS, stored encrypted at rest, and processed strictly for onboarding, ongoing monitoring and regulatory reporting. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your identity documents for marketing.
You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time under GDPR/UK-GDPR — subject to the retention periods we're legally required to keep under AML law (typically five years after the account closes).
